PUBLISHING POLICIES
Digital
Preservation
Long-term accessibility of the Version of Record through stable hosting, Crossref DOI registration, and complementary archiving practices.
Published content must remain findable
Bayrakol Medical Publishing is committed to preserving the long-term accessibility and integrity of content published in its journals. Digital preservation supports reliable citation, indexing, and continued scholarly use.
Preservation arrangements may vary by journal. Where a journal’s official website states journal-specific archiving details, those details apply to that journal’s content.
VERSION OF RECORD
Publisher-hosted
primary archive
The authoritative Version of Record is maintained on the relevant journal’s official website and related publishing systems operated by or for Bayrakol Medical Publishing.
- Published articles remain available online as the Version of Record.
- Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions remain linked to the original record where issued.
- Platform and URL changes are managed so that access to published content is maintained as far as reasonably practicable.
PERSISTENT IDENTIFIERS
Crossref DOI
registration
Articles published by Bayrakol journals are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) registered with Crossref, providing persistent identification and citation linking independent of temporary URL changes.
- DOIs support long-term discoverability and citation integrity.
- Metadata deposited with Crossref supports indexing and scholarly linking.
- Where article status changes (for example, correction or retraction), metadata is updated as appropriate.
ADDITIONAL ARCHIVING
Complementary
preservation routes
In addition to publisher hosting and DOI registration, journals may use complementary archiving or harvesting arrangements to strengthen long-term access.
- Where applicable, journal content may be preserved or harvested through publicly available web archives, including the Internet Archive.
- Authors may deposit the Version of Record in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the publisher’s open access and copyright policies.
- Journal-level archiving statements on official journal websites take precedence where they provide more specific information.
Bayrakol Medical Publishing does not claim participation in third-party dark-archive services unless such participation is separately and accurately stated for the relevant journal.
INTEGRITY OF THE RECORD
Access with
accountability
Preservation is not only storage. The scholarly record must remain accurate and transparent over time.
- Editorial notices that modify the status of an article remain part of the permanent record.
- Self-archived copies should cite the journal as the original place of publication and include the DOI where available.
- Readers and indexing services should rely on the Version of Record and any linked notices for authoritative status information.
CONTINUITY OF ACCESS
Planning for
long-term availability
Bayrakol Medical Publishing aims to maintain ongoing access to published content and to strengthen digital preservation arrangements as publishing infrastructure evolves.
- Technical and operational measures are used to support backup, recovery, and continued online availability of published content.
- Persistent identifiers and deposited metadata reduce dependence on any single URL or temporary hosting path.
- Where additional trusted preservation partnerships are established for a journal, they will be disclosed on the relevant journal or publisher pages.
