In terms of being endemic in our country, hydatid cyst still constitutes a major clinical issue. To enrich the literature with new researchs and reviews on hydatid cysts is very useful. We read with interest Tokur and colleagues’s review titled “Complicated hydatid cyst of the lung”. Although this review strengthens the literature and summarizes the complications of pulmonary hydatid cysts quite well, we need to add our opinions on some points. One point we want to specify is the classification of complications. As is known, surgical procedures to pulmonary hydatid cysts may result in complications. In this respect, classifying the complications as preoperative and postoperative complications would be a more accurate approach according to us.
